IPX3 rain‑test: Spray nozzles are arranged within 60° arcs on either side of the midpoint of the oscillating tube, simulating rainwater spraying onto the test sample from all directions to evaluate its waterproof performance at inclined angles.

IPX4 splash‑proof test: Spray nozzles are arranged in 180° arcs on either side of the midpoint of the oscillating tube, simulating water splashing onto the sample from all directions, to evaluate the sample’s waterproof performance under splash‑water conditions.
