Scheme Overview

La: This test is primarily used to evaluate the sealing performance of samples, focusing on non-corrosive fine dust. The test specimens are exposed to talc powder or other similar fine particulate matter. It can simulate the effects caused by pressure differentials between the inside and outside of the sample resulting from changes in humidity.

Lb: Free-fall dust deposition is a method used to simulate the environmental impact of airborne particulates in protected environments. The sample is exposed to a low-density, dust-laden atmosphere that periodically becomes temporarily more concentrated due to the introduction of small amounts of dust, and under the influence of gravity, the dust settles onto the sample.

Lc: Sandblasting is a method primarily used to simulate outdoor and vehicle‑mounted environmental conditions, enabling the assessment of a sample’s sealing performance and corrosion effects. The sample is exposed to a turbulent or laminar airflow containing a specified amount of dust, sand, or a dust–sand mixture. To conduct the test, the sample must be positioned in a vertical, non‑laminar flow environment while being subjected to an airstream containing a defined quantity of particulate matter.
