A standard IPX1–9 rain‑test chamber should include a control cabinet, an IPX1–2 drip‑test unit, an IPX3–4 oscillating‑nozzle rain‑test unit, an IPX5–6 water‑spray test unit (with a water‑supply system), an IPX7 immersion‑test chamber, an IPX8 pressure‑immersion test machine, a shower‑type rain‑test unit, a UL water‑spray test unit, and an IPX9 high‑temperature, high‑pressure water‑spray test chamber, along with an overall design and layout for the waterproof‑testing facility.
